About the Founder
Laura Willis is a brand positioning expert and strategist, who has created award winning web and print communications to help local, national and global companies, stand apart from the competition. With over 25 years experience working in advertising agencies and mid to large corporations in the greater Boston area, as well as in her own business, her real-world expertise spans a wide range of vertical industries. With the launch of Encore Revolution, Laura’s speaking engagements and educational programs combine elements of her brand development process with personal growth and awareness exercises to inspire business professionals to align with their deeper mission or purpose, to give it an authentic voice and position them for greater success.
Laura had her own “revolutionary moment” when she was writing her Dad’s eulogy. As she was focused on writing all the positive things about him, she thought, “Hmm, what would I want someone to write about me when I leave this planet? Better yet, how do I want to live it now?!” This was the catalyst for her to go on a path of self-discovery to determine what she really loves to do, and discovered that she loves to teach. “Teach what?” she asked herself. Again, going deeper, she thought she could leverage her expertise from the design and advertising world and combine it with her personal growth journey to help others on their path. The Baby Boomer audience, in particular, isn’t slowing down any time soon, being the largest segment starting businesses and reinventing themselves doing something they love, even in retirement. With this large wave of people who have this tug or burning desire to do something meaningful and fulfilling in their lives, she became aware of the great need. She also learned that one cannot create a powerful message for one’s business unless it aligns with who they really are and what they stand for at the CORE.
